Workshop #1 Summary: The first community workshop was held on March 28th, 2019 at the Mary Wilson Library in Seal Beach, CA. The objective of this workshop was to obtain public input that will be used in order to create an optimized restoration design for the entire Los Cerritos Wetlands complex. During this workshop participants were asked for their input on the types and extent of the public access they would like to see in the Los Cerritos Wetlands.

Workshop #2 Summary: The second community workshop was held on September 26th, 2019 at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s watershed classroom in Long Beach, CA. The objective of this workshop was to obtain public input on the Optimized Restoration Design for the entire Los Cerritos Wetlands complex. During this workshop participants were asked for their input on flood management, public access, habitat restoration opportunities, and phasing for each of the 4 main restoration sites.

Thank you to folks who attended and provided feedback! Your questions and comments are being taken into consideration in the finalizing of the Optimized Restoration Design, which will go through the CEQA process. Further comments we receive will also be taken into consideration. We hope to see you and others at our next public workshop, which will focus on the CEQA process. This workshop is tentatively scheduled for early 2019.
